Tehsil Municipal Administration Ahmad Pur Sial

Tehsil Municipal Administration Ahmad Pur Sial welcomes you to a land rich in culture and has a profound history of deep influence of sufi saints on the people of this area. Probably it is due to the preaching of saints that humility and hospitality are dominant values in the prevalent culture.

Ahmad Pur Sial was raised to the status of Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) in October 2005. Previously it was a part of Tehsil Municipal Administration Shorkot. Under the new status, Ahmad Pur Sial city was made CO Unit Headquarter whereas Garh Mahjaraja was made non-headquarter CO Unit. Population of these two urban localities is almost 30,000 according to the 1998 census.

Administrative Setup

The Tehsil Municipal Administration is a body corporate and consists of the Tehsil Nazim, Tehsil Municipal Officer, 4 Tehsil Officers and other officials of the Local Council Service and officials of the offices entrusted to the Tehsil Municipal Administration. A Tehsil Nazim is the head of Tehsil Municipal Administration and exercises all functions and powers as have been assigned to him under the Ordinance. The Tehsil Municipal Officer is acting as coordinating and administrative officer in-charge of the Tehsil Officers.
